Versailles Law Corporation (VLC) is a corporate-transactional law firm, which represents both buyers and sellers of businesses throughout the United States, including numerous private equity and buy-out firms, funds and institutional, strategic and accredited investors. VLC specializes in handling mergers and acquisitions, structuring and negotiating purchase and sale transactions and buy/sell agreements, as well as, dealing with various forms of financing that are typically employed to consummate such transactions, including senior, secured bank and non-bank financing, mezzanine financing and debt and equity financial instruments. In handling such transactions, in addition to its corporate team, VLC routinely utilizes its network of more than 50 tax, intellectual property, employment, ERISA, litigation and environmental specialists to ensure that its clients are adequately protected in all areas.

VLC was founded in 2006 by Joseph C. Cane, Jr., with the objective to deliver exceptional client service, sophisticated legal counsel, and to achieve outstanding results on a cost-effective and value-added basis. Mr. Cane and his colleagues at VLC make it a point to always bring a no-nonsense and businessman's perspective to transactions, which they believe greatly enhances the likelihood that such transactions actually end up closing.

Mr. Cane, who oversees all of VLC's operations and major transactions, has been a practicing attorney for more than 27 years. Prior to forming VLC, Mr. Cane held senior business and legal roles at Sony Connect, a division of Sony Corporation of America, served as general counsel at Digital Entertainment Corporation of America and worked for several top tier national law firms. Mr. Cane earned a BA from Cornell University in Applied Economics and Business Management, a JD from Loyola Law School and an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at USC.
